Privacy Policy
How AwardRegistry handles site usage data and public records.
This page describes the current privacy posture of AwardRegistry as it exists today. It is written to match the product’s current functionality and should be updated as data collection or third-party services change.
What this site is
AwardRegistry is an independent public lookup product built around publicly available federal spending and recipient data.
The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government.
Information we currently process
Basic page view and click analytics generated inside the site.
Search queries entered into the public lookup interface.
Technical request data such as browser user-agent and referrer path.
What we do not currently offer
No user accounts.
No checkout or payment flow.
No advertising network or third-party marketing tracker in the current product layer.
How analytics currently works
AwardRegistry currently uses a lightweight first-party analytics layer to record page views, search submissions, and selected entity clicks.
Those events are stored by AwardRegistry for product improvement, debugging, usage analysis, and search-quality review.
Public data on the site
Much of the information displayed on AwardRegistry comes from public federal spending and recipient records.
Public record content shown on the site is not treated as user-submitted private account data.
Third-party sharing
The current site experience is not built around selling personal information or sharing browsing data with advertising platforms.
If that changes, this policy should be updated before those tools are activated.
Do Not Track and browser privacy signals
AwardRegistry does not currently advertise a separate technical response to browser `Do Not Track` signals.
The current site also does not knowingly rely on third-party behavioral advertising trackers in the public product layer.
Policy updates
This page should be revised whenever AwardRegistry adds new data collection, user accounts, email workflows, third-party analytics, payment features, or consent tooling.
This page is for general product transparency and should not be treated as legal advice.
