About Data
AwardRegistry is built on public federal spending data.
We use public source data to populate federal contractor profiles, award recipient pages, agency pages, state pages, and category pages, then present those records through a simpler public lookup layer.
Source foundation
AwardRegistry uses public federal spending data, including USAspending-derived records, as the source foundation for recipient and award discovery.
Source systems remain the official record. AwardRegistry adds normalization, summarization, local search, and page-level presentation on top.
What users see on the site
Recipient names, UEI values, locations, and award totals.
Top awarding agencies and category concentration.
Recent visible award activity and related discovery paths.
Limits users should understand
Public data can contain reporting delays, naming inconsistencies, and source-level complexity.
Some pages may show partial enrichment while additional category or relationship data is being attached.
