A SMALL NUMBER SHARE A RESERVATION NEAR LIVINGSTON, TEXAS WITH THE MEMBERS OF THE ALABAMA-COUSHATTA TRIBE. PROJECT OVERVIEW THE CTLA WAS A RECIPIENT OF PHASE ONE FUNDING UNDER THE NTIA TRIBAL BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM (TBCP). THE TRIBE USED THIS PAST AWARD TO HIRE A QUALIFIED CONSULTANT TO COMPLETE A DETAILED FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS AND BROADBAND DESIGN TO DETERMINE THE BEST WAY TO PROVIDE BROADBAND SERVICES TO ITS TRIBAL PREMISES. WITH THIS STUDY COMPLETED, THE CLTA IS NOW PROPOSING TO COMPLETE A FIBER TO THE PREMISES (FTTP) INSTALLATION ON ITS TRIBAL LANDS, BRINGING 137 USERS ONLINE (124 HOUSEHOLDS, 11 COMMUNITY ANCHOR INSTITUTIONS, AND 2 BUSINESSES) AS A RESULT OF THIS SHOVEL-READY PROJECT.
