DESCRIPTION:THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT IS TO PROVIDE FUNDING UNDER THE INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT AND JOBS ACT (IIJA) TO RINCON BAND OF LUISENO INDIANS TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT LEAD SERVICE LINE IDENTIFICATION AND/OR REPLACEMENT ACTIVITIES IN TRIBAL COMMUNITIES. SPECIFICALLY, THE RECIPIENT WILL HIRE A CONTRACTOR TO PERFORM A RECORDS REVIEW AND POTHOLE SERVICE LINES TO IDENTIFY LEAD OR GALVANIZED REQUIRING REPLACEMENT (GRR) SERVICE LINES. THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT PROVIDES FULL FEDERAL FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $280,962.00. ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PERFORMING A RECORDS REVIEW AND POTHOLING OF SERVICE LINES TO IDENTIFY LEAD OR GALVANIZED REQUIRING REPLACEMENT (GRR) SERVICE LINES. SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES INCLUDE A COMPLETE SERVICE LINE INVENTORY. THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE A LIST IDENTIFYING MATERIALS USED IN THE SERVICE LINES TO DETERMINE WHETHER REPLACEMENT IS NECESSARY TO REDUCE LEAD EXPOSURE. THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES INCLUDE RESIDENTS OF THE RINCON NORTHERN AND RINCON PARADISE CREEK PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS.
