THE COWLITZ INDIAN TRIBE IS A FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TRIBE LOCATED IN WASHINGTON. THE PATHWAYS TO HEALING PROGRAM, A PROGRAM OF THE COWLITZ TRIBE'S HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT, WORKS TO ADDRESS VIOLENCE AGAINST INDIAN WOMEN BY PROVIDING SOCIAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND DATING VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, STALKING AND SEX TRAFFICKING. WITH THIS FUNDING, THE PATHWAYS TO HEALING PROGRAM WILL: 1) PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND 2) SUPPORT A VICTIM ADVOCATE AND PROGRAM COORDINATOR. THE COWLITZ INDIAN TRIBE HAS PARTNERED WITH THE COWLITZ WOMEN'S ADVISORY COUNCIL TO PLAN THIS PROJECT. THIS IS A CONTINUATION AWARD.
